Rhino 101
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS AN ONLINE CLASS
McNeel and Associates Rhino 3D is the motion picture industry standard for building digital sets, props, creating makeup effects and more. As a sophisticated NURBS modeler Rhino is used in the feature animation, live action, broadcast and video game industries to create digital environments, construct sets, build props and perform other functions that allow set designers, prop makers and others to create 3D models that can be laid up as precision drawings - and whose files can be shared and distributed easily. No other software package approaches its versatility in digital set design.
In this comprehensive class you’ll learn to create and edit accurate free-form 3D NURBS models. This fast-moving class covers most of Rhino’s functionality, including the most advanced surfacing commands. You will systematically move through the user interface, command access, creation and editing curves, surfaces and solids.
Prerequisite: None, but a solid knowledge of the computer and familiarity with other CG or CAD programs is highly recommended.
Instructor: Todd Cherniawsky
