DaVinci Resolve 101

DaVinci Resolve is the world’s only solution that combines editing, color correction, visual effects, motion graphics and audio post production all in one software tool! Its elegant, modern interface is fast to learn and easy for new users, yet powerful for professionals. DaVinci Resolve lets you work faster and at a higher quality because you don’t have to learn multiple apps or switch software for different tasks. That means you can work with camera original quality images throughout the entire process.

Topics will include: The user interface, KB shortcuts, wipes, fades and transitions, single and batch file I/O capture and management systems, toolsets, presets, keyframing, use of multiple effects, and more.  Extensive uses of the Gen AI tools in DaVinci Resolve will also be explored.

Duration: 8 Weeks (30 hours)

Prerequisite: Basic, working knowledge of graphics programs. DaVinci Resolve works on both Mac and PC.  It is highly advised that the student work with a large screen monitor (2 screens is even better!) A 3-button mouse and full keyboard is a must if you are using a laptop.  Students are responsible for the purchase and use of their own copy of the software for this class.
