Tues thru Fri 9:00am – 12:45pm
6/23/26 to 6/26/26
Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming the visual effects industry. It is reshaping how artists design, iterate, and deliver high-end imagery for film, television, and streaming. Our AI for VFX workshop is a focused, industry-driven course that equips artists with the tools and workflows needed to stay competitive in this evolving landscape.
Taught live online by AI VFX instructor Damian Allen, this program explores how AI integrates into modern VFX pipelines—from concept development through final compositing. Students will learn how to leverage generative image systems, AI-assisted rotoscoping, upscaling, cleanup, and look development to accelerate production while maintaining creative control.
Through guided demonstrations and hands-on exercises, participants will explore real-world workflows used in today’s studios, including AI-driven plate enhancement, environment generation, digital doubles, and integration with tools like Nuke, After Effects, and Unreal Engine.
Duration: One week – TUES thru FRI (15 hours total)
Prerequisite: It is recommended, but not necessary, that you have basic VFX skills. Experience with Unreal Engine, Nuke and/or After Effects is helpful, but not required. Equipment should consist of a recent vintage Mac or PC, 8GB of VRAM if you have it, and 16GB of system RAM to make things go.
