ZBrush 101

ZBrush is a revolutionary digital tool that has taken the world by storm.

This 8-week introductory class will thoroughly cover the interface of ZBrush and how it actually works. By utilizing basic sculpting techniques you will learn to confidently work out ideas for visual development in a variety of creative fields, including Film, Television, Games, and Consumer Products.

Duration: 8 Weeks (30 hours)

Instructor Kyle Kane is a sculptor and teacher with over 25 years of experience in both 2D illustration and 3D Sculpting. He has worked in the games, TV, and collectibles industries since 2000 and as well as being a Studio Arts instructor, Kyle has been a teacher at Art Center College of Design and Laguna College of Art and Design during that period as well.

Prerequisite: Working knowledge of software programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender and Maya.  It is advised that you have a large (or best yet) two monitors to work from.  A full keyboard and 3-button mouse will make working with ZBrush much easier.  Students are responsible for purchasing and downloading their own software for use in this class.  Students are responsible for purchasing and downloading their own copy of ZBrush for this online class.
