Producing a Video Game

Producing a Video Game

The Video Game production course focuses on the critical role of being a Producer within a development studio. Students will learn the core and miscellaneous responsibilities of a Producer, the inner workings of a game studio, the game development life cycle from concept to release, and the most widely-used project management methodologies and software in the industry.

This class is geared toward ambitious individuals with an interest in joining a game studio’s production team, and equipping them with the appropriate tools and knowledge that this leadership role requires. Rarely taught are the detailed dynamics of what a Producer encounters day-to-day, and this course aims to cover the full spectrum of production responsibilities.

Prerequisite: Working knowledge of the computer.
